Do I need a wet signature affidavit?

A wet signature affidavit is a hand-signed, physical copy of your affidavit. Most states accept digital affidavits, but some states or counties require a wet signature for certain notice types.

If your notice requires a wet signature affidavit: Column will provide one at no additional cost, it is already included in the cost of your notice. You don't need to request it separately — it will be handled as part of your notice workflow. Once the publication is complete, the affidavit will be signed, notarized, and mailed to your address. Please allow time for mail delivery.

If your notice does not require a wet signature affidavit: You'll receive a digital affidavit by default. If you'd like a wet signature copy for your own records, you can request one as a paid add-on during the order placement process (at the Affidavit Preferences step). Please note that the fee will vary depending on the shipping selection you make. A scanned copy of the wet signature affidavit will be uploaded to your Column account and the original will be mailed per your selection.

• Alabama

• South Carolina

• Oklahoma (for Notice of Bond and Secretary of State)
