How to Prepare for the Questionnaire

To get started, your onboarding specialist will send you a questionnaire asking for details about your publication, such as pricing and pagination standards. It’s important that this information is accurate. It ensures that we customize Column to fit your publication perfectly.

This article helps you prepare for filling out the questionnaire. Below are all the questions you'll be asked, so you can know what to expect. The faster we receive accurate information from you, the faster we can set up your publication with Column!

The Questions in the Questionnaire:

  1. What is the name of the newspaper?

  2. What are your publication days and ad deadlines?

  3. What font(s) does this paper use for public notices?

  4. To help us create a template that matches your existing settings, please list out the following info to the best of your knowledge.

    1. Number of columns per page

    2. Page height

    3. Page width

    4. Gutter width

    5. Margins

    6. Should hyphenation be enabled or disabled?

  5. Please upload your legals rates card.

  6. Please upload an example of your current affidavit.

  7. Please upload a high-quality PNG file of the newspaper's logo.

  8. Please upload a few samples of private-party notices that you'd like templated (i.e Name Change, Petition to Estate, FBN) as well as any forms that advertisers fill out when placing a notice with you.

  9. Please upload a PDF file of a full newspaper page that contains public notices.

  10. Please upload an InDesign (or Quark, etc.) file of a full newspaper page that contains public notices.
