I'm missing a payout for a notice

Edited

Notices are paid out once the following is true:

  • The invoice is paid.

  • All publication dates have passed.

  • An affidavit has been uploaded for the notice.

Notices are not paid out if the customer paid for the notice by sending payment directly to the newspaper. Instead, there will be a negative transfer for Column to collect the fees owed. For further details, view "How can my newspaper pay fees and refunds owed to Column?".

If you believe you are missing a payout for a notice, please review the Activity Log on the Notice Detail page to confirm the above. If a log states "payout initiated," a payout has been issued for the notice. The corresponding date indicates when the payout was initiated but not delivered. Typically, the payout will be issued on a date following the initiated date, depending on how frequent payouts occur. To confirm the payout was issued, navigate to the Payout tab under Organization Settings to download the payout report following the initiated date. How can I download a CSV of my payouts?

If no log indicates a payout was initiated, confirm how the invoice was paid. If payment were sent directly to the newspaper, a log would indicate that a newspaper staff member or a Column team member marked the notice as paid. If so, no payout will be issued.

Please contact Column Support help@column.us if the notice was paid via Column, the affidavit is uploaded but a payout hasn't been initiated.
