A notice didn't publish; what do I do?
Please take the following steps if you have determined that a notice missed its scheduled publication date.
Notify the customer that their notice was not published as scheduled and ask if they want to cancel or reschedule. You can copy their e-mail address from the activity log or grab their contact information from the Customer list under Organization Settings.
If they want to reschedule the notice, you can edit it to change the publication dates. If the invoice has already been paid, we recommend skipping creating a new one unless the customer wants the invoice to reflect the new publication date. Creating a new one requires the paid invoice to be voided and refunded, and payment can't be transferred to the new invoice. Editing the dates will update the affidavit template.
If they want to cancel the notice and it was only scheduled for one publication date or did not publish on any of the scheduled dates, proceed by clicking "Cancel Notice" on the Notice Detail page. If the invoice is paid for, canceling the notice will trigger a refund.
If they want to cancel their notice but the notice published one or more dates, check with the customer if they need an affidavit for the dates the notice was published. If so, do not cancel the notice; instead, edit the notice to remove the date(s) the notice did not publish. Removing the publication date(s) will trigger a partial refund if the invoice is paid for. We don't recommend canceling a notice if the customer wants an affidavit or if you want to charge the customer for the dates the notice was published.
Please note if you cancel a notice that you didn't intend to cancel, as the customer needs an invoice or an affidavit, we cannot "un-cancel" it. Instead, you can duplicate the notice and backdate it as needed. How do I reschedule a canceled notice?
