How do I link my bank account?

To pay invoices with one click, you can link your bank account(s) to Column. We offer two easy ways to add bank accounts to your Column profile:

  1. Log in directly with your online banking credentials

    or

  2. Send micro-deposits to your bank to verify your account via your routing and account numbers

Regardless of which of the above options you choose, your information will remain safe and secure. Column will never have access to your bank account.

Adding a new bank account

1. Firstly log in at column.us/login. Click the gear icon on the top right of your screen. If you belong to an organization, select ‘My Organization’. If you're registered as an individual, select ‘My Account’.

Select Bank Accounts from the menu on the left side of your page to see your current bank account settings. 

2. Click ‘Add Bank Account’ on the right to begin linking your account.

3. If you'd like to verify your account using your online banking credentials (this is the fastest option) click ‘Agree’, then select your bank. If you have multiple accounts at your bank, choose the appropriate account. Input the username and password you use for online banking and follow further instructions. Click ‘Confirm’ on Column's ACH authorization agreement, and your account is all set to go!

1. If you can't find your bank account listed, you can opt to ‘Verify by routing & account number’. To do this, you will need to get in touch with Column Support at help@column.us so that this can be enabled on your account. We are unable to enable this setting without at least one confirmed active notice on your Column account.

2. Once enabled, enter your account number and routing number, then click Continue to Agree to the ACH authorization terms, then click Confirm.

3. Within 3-5 business days, you should receive two micro-deposits (at less than $1.00 each) in your bank account. You will receive an email letting you know when you can expect your micro-deposits to be ready.

When you receive your micro-deposits, return to Bank Accounts in your Column settings.

Click Action Required, then input the amount you received for each micro-deposit. 

Click Verify to complete the process.

Going forward, please be advised that ACH transfers can take up to two weeks to fully settle. Please keep your invoice due date in mind when selecting a payment method.
