11/18/22 Release: Live dashboards, notice table filter, advertiser names in email notifications, and more
Get insight into your notice volume!
All publishers now have access to live reporting dashboards to make managing public notices easier than ever. In the Reports section of Column, you’ll find a multi-page dashboard that shows data about your notice volume, invoices and customer performance. Use this dashboard to search for notices, check on unpaid invoices, view top-performing customers and more. Easily answer questions like these:
“What notices did I get paid for in October?”
“What customers do I need to chase for payment?”
“Did I process more notices in August or September?”
In the notice table, you can now filter notices by confirmation status, invoice status, affidavit status and publication date. By filtering the notices in your table, you can easily see which notices need invoices created or affidavits uploaded — or identify orders where you need to nag the advertiser for payment. Our Help Center explains how you can use the filter button to find exactly what you’re looking for in Column.

Your email notifications now include advertiser names!
Thanks to your feedback, we’ve added the advertiser name (and organization) to your email notifications. This will hopefully make it easier to recognize orders at a glance when looking through your emails. Getting more specific information straight to your inbox will help you stay up-to-date on what’s happening with notices, and keep track of the tasks you need to take in Column.
Check out our new invoices!
We recently refreshed the invoice format for most newspapers on Column. Instead of flowing to two pages, invoices now fit entirely on one page, reducing the likelihood that customers make mistakes about the total amount due. We think the new format feels cleaner and easier to read — we hope you think so too!
In case you missed it...
You’ve probably already noticed that we recently moved the “Place Notice” button to the top-right corner of the Column homepage. We also made some small changes for your customers:
When requesting to cancel a notice after deadline, advertisers now see a message clearly stating that their notice isn’t cancelled until the newspaper approves their request.
In email notifications about invoices that require upfront payment, advertisers now see the exact date and time when payment is due. Typically, payment is due upon your ad deadline for the first publication date.
